Cookies & Local Storage
What Kaltiq stores on your browser or device, why it is needed and how to control it.
Version 1.0 · Prepared 16 October 2026
1. Technologies covered
“Cookies” includes HTTP cookies, local/session storage, IndexedDB, cache storage, generated installation identifiers, software tokens and similar device storage or access technologies. Mobile and desktop apps may use secure platform storage rather than browser cookies.
2. Current categories
| Category | Purpose | Typical duration | Choice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication and security | Sign-in state, CSRF protection, privilege version, fraud and session integrity | Session or stated expiry; revoked at logout/password or role change | Necessary for signed-in Services |
| Preferences | Language, theme, accessibility, notification and privacy settings | Until changed, cleared or account deletion applies | Reset in settings or device controls |
| Application storage | Generated install ID, message cache, offline/PWA assets, drafts and connectivity state | Until cleared, expired by the app or uninstalled | Clear site/app data; some features may reset |
| Payments and integrations | Temporary order/session correlation and user-requested wallet or backup connection | Transaction/session duration or provider policy | Do not connect or disconnect the provider |
| Optional analytics or advertising | Audience measurement or campaign attribution, if introduced | Disclosed in the consent interface | Off until valid consent where required |
3. No implied consent
Where EU ePrivacy, UK PECR or similar law applies, Kaltiq may use storage strictly necessary for a service you request without consent. Non-essential storage will require a clear affirmative choice before activation. Continuing to browse is not treated as consent. Rejecting optional storage will not block core service access unless that storage is genuinely required for the requested feature.
4. Controls
Use the cookie/settings control where displayed, browser or operating-system controls, or clear Kaltiq site/app data. Blocking necessary storage may sign you out, disable offline history or prevent secure functions. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.
5. Third parties
When you deliberately open an app store, map, wallet, cloud-backup or external website, that provider may use its own storage. Kaltiq does not control it. Embedded third-party trackers must not be activated without the required notice, contract and consent review.
6. Changes and contact
Material changes will be reflected in this page and, where required, trigger a fresh choice. Privacy/DPO questions: admin@kaltiq.com.
